Updating the firmware

The Sway Breeze updates its firmware automatically when it has an internet connection through the Sway app. In most cases you don’t need to do anything — the update happens in the background.

  1. Connect your phone to the Breeze WiFi network
  2. Open the Sway app
  3. Tap the 3 dots in the top right corner to open the menu
  4. Your current firmware version is shown here

If your firmware is outdated, you can update it from the same menu:

  1. Connect your phone to the Breeze WiFi network
  2. Open the Sway app and tap the 3 dots in the top right
  3. If an update is available, tap Update firmware
  4. Keep the app open and stay connected to the Breeze until the update is complete — this takes about a minute
  5. The Breeze will restart automatically once the update is done

If the update fails or the device does not restart:

  • Make sure your phone has an active internet connection (4G or another WiFi network) during the update
  • Try restarting the Breeze by disconnecting and reconnecting the power
  • If the problem persists, see troubleshooting
