Choosing a location
Section titled “Choosing a location”Mount the Sway Breeze in a suitable indoor location. Good spots:
- Behind the instrument panel
- In a dry technical space
Requirements for the location:
- Dry — not exposed to moisture or spray
- Within reach of the NMEA 2000 backbone
- Good WiFi coverage toward the cockpit or helm
Mounting with velcro
Section titled “Mounting with velcro”The Sway Breeze comes with a self-adhesive velcro strip.
- Clean the mounting surface
- Peel the backing off the velcro strip and press it firmly onto the surface
- Press the Breeze onto the velcro
No screws required.
Connecting to the NMEA 2000 network
Section titled “Connecting to the NMEA 2000 network”The Sway Breeze connects to your NMEA 2000 backbone via a standard T-connector and drop cable.
- The Breeze uses a standard NMEA 2000 connector (Micro-C)
- If you don’t have a free T-connector, add one using a standard NMEA 2000 T-piece (e.g. from Navionics STNG adapter)
- T-connectors and drop cables are sold separately
- Check that both ends of the backbone have terminators installed
